Dietary Nitrate Supplementation and Exercise Performance: An Umbrella Review of 20 Published Systematic Reviews with Meta-analyses

Across 20 meta-analyses covering 180 studies, dietary nitrate improved time to exhaustion — more so at 372 mg a day or more taken for over three days — as well as distance covered, muscular endurance and peak power. Other performance measures did not improve, and most of the included reviews were of low methodological quality.
